Mikel funda en 2011 la productora Producciones Varadas con la que ha escrito, producido y dirigido multitud de cortometrajes, entre ellos “Hablando en plata” (2012), finalista en la X Edición de NotodoFilmFest. Esta cinta participó en la sección oficial de festivales como Cortogenia, Certamen El Pecado Llerena y además contó con gran repercusión mediática y más de 500.000 reproducciones.
En 2014 confunda el Festival Internacional de Cortometrajes Shorty Week, ya con tres ediciones en El Puerto de Santa María y otras tres en Cádiz.
Recientemente ha dirigido el cortometraje “En Contraste” (2018), ganador del concurso de Documentales Express en la 50 edición del festival internacional Alcances y se alza con el Premio Talento Español en la XVII edición del Notodofilmfest 2019 con su nuevo cortometraje “Plano Genealógico” (2019)

Mikel founded in 2012 the producer Producciones Varadas with which he has written, produced and directed a multitude of short films, including Hablando en plata (2012), finalist in the X Edition of NotodoFilmFest. This short film participated in the official section of festivals such as Cortogenia, Certamen El Pecado Llerena and also had great media coverage and more than 500,000 reproductions.
In 2014, Mikel co-founded the International Shorty Week Short Film Festival, with three editions in El Puerto de Santa María and another three in Cádiz.
He has recently directed the short film “En contrate” (2018), winner of the Documentary Express contest at the 50th edition of the international Alcances festival and won the Spanish Talent Award at the 17th edition of the Notodofilmfest 2019 with his new short film "Plano Genealógico" (Family views) (2019)
